REGISTRATION PACKET:  SCHOOL YEAR: 2019/ 2020

We are so glad that you have chosen to join us on our grand learning adventure! At City Schoolhouse we will foster a learning environment that embraces each child as a unique learning person and not just a number. We believe that learning happens all around us and not just at a desk completing a worksheet.

We believe that getting dirty is a part of good learning! We believe that hard work is an opportunity to be strengthened! We believe that trying new things develops confidence. We believe that by helping others we benefit more.

We will strive to help your child learn and grow in a way that is in line with their personality, gifts, abilities, and temperament. That means smaller class sizes and more adults to guide them as they learn, grow, and mature.

Our mission is to empower children to be not only self focused but community focused. How does their life impact others? How can they be a helpful to their family? How can they be community helpers? What are issues in their community that need addressing, can they be a part of a solution?

We are honored that you have chosen us  --- you will not be disappointed!

Family Responsibility
Because City Schoolhouse is designed to strengthen the child, family, and community we believe that schooling is a partnership between the school, child, and the parent. There are expectations of the parent and student that are required in order to have your child best equipped in and out of school. Here are the areas where we need a commitment from you: 1. Financial Partnership (tuition contribution, volunteer hours) 2. Scholarly Partnership (extended learning in the home, in class participation, support field trips, when appropriate, in home study/projects, punctuation & appropriate attire) You want something great for your child and believe that we offer a better alternative than existing school options --- however, we do not offer a better alternative, we offer the best! We are invested in your child, your family, and this community. We love our neighbors and love never fails. We believe that your time, talent, and treasure are all critical elements of your commitment to our community -- here is how we see these at work in our school. Time -- we want all families to have a cooperative role in the classroom and/or school as a volunteer. This will allow the parent to experience first hand how their child is engaging in their new environment and to learn new ways to help them learn outside of the classroom. Learning is a lifelong adventure! Talent -- find a way that you can bless our school community with your talents. Do you know how to cook...come help us in our kitchen prepare snacks and lunches; do you play music...come teach a class; do you garden...help us in our outdoor classroom; do you know how to clean...help us keep our school clean. Using your talents and abilities you can earn tuition work credits needed for your child to attend City Schoolhouse. Treasure -- We are worth your investment! If you are able to pay 100% of the tuition we are worth it -- and if you are not able we are still worth it! Let us know what you can pay and then we will see work out the rest.
